Press Release & Pitch Sample
Over the course of the summer I had an internship with a startup called Bloom Bras. I was a public relations intern so I took on the role of reaching out to bloggers and journalists and pitching our company for a chance to be featured in one of their articles. I learned a lot about PR and the importance of spreading the word about a company to attract new customers. I wrote a few press releases, blog posts, and pitches throughout my internship, I have attached them below.
Crisis Communication Plan
Over the course of my Public Relations Crisis Communications class, I put together a plan for a local business in case of a crisis. In the plan I wrote a personalized news release, added in media contacts and local news contact information, along with other documents to guide the business on how to present themselves in the press and media, if something negative were to come up.
Tinder Biography Analysis: Research Paper
For my Social Scientific Approaches to Communication Research class I put together an 11 page research paper with my findings on Tinder biographies and whether they affect if someone swipes right or left. I chose this topic because Tinder is a commonly used dating app for young adults that many people use for fun, not necessarily to find a serious partner. In this paper I explain the experiment I conducted on my peers, analyzed the results, and then discussed my findings.
Written Sales Proposal
This past quarter I took a sales class focused on the Principles of Selling. In this course I put together a mock sales proposal for University of Washington Athletic Department. I chose a product to sell to a company and spent the quarter learning the sales process, along with how to write a professional sales proposal. In my proposal I pretend to be an Essentia Water sales representative encouraging my customer, University of Washington Athletic Department, to buy our product and sign a partnership with us.
Amazon Brand Content Creations
Here are a few of many Amazon brand pages I created for certain companies. This was my final project for my marketing internship last summer where I learned a lot about graphic design, along with marketing techniques. Stasher and Califia Farms were two clients of the company I worked for. I had complete control over what I wanted to include on the brand pages and where. I used quarterly sales performance spreadsheets in order to organize which products would drive the most consumer traffic to their brand.
